Short, fast aerobic-anaerobic intervals by an amazingly energetic instructor. Lots of variety from step-aerobic classics to innovative segments that use a medicine ball for increased intensity (while adding some toning benefits). Positioning the step both sideways and toward-the-TV, these combos are a little more choreographed than Mindy’s usual pure athletic-style moves. You get plyometric hops and jumps, straddles and crossovers, even unique moves like peg leg, “road runner,” and “soccer dribble.” The cardio ends with seven minutes of challenging hi/lo floor aerobics. She uses a medicine ball in four segments; a dumbbell will also work. ©2003.
