The Hedge Fund Trender is based off of system technology that we used with our hedge fund to make money managing real customer accounts.  But make no mistake, it took discipline and hard work. How We Trade with Hedge Fund Trender
When trading the markets, the goal of trading is to maximize the odds for success in your favor.  This can be done in a number of ways, but one of the most powerful ways that we like to trade and put the odds in our favor is to use the Hedge Fund Trender buy or sell signals in the direction of a high probability trade setup.  A high probability trade setup is like a reliable chart pattern that can be used to forecast where prices are likely to go. We believe that traders should only trade in favorable market conditions.  We do not recommend trading Hedge Fund Trender in every market condition.  Some market conditions are choppy and directionless.  We recommend that you sit out during these market conditions as price movement tends to be random and choppy (see red box in chart below).

On the other side of the coin, we recommend trading when markets are moving (green box in chart above).  In our experience, these conditions represent better environments to experience strong, directional price action.  Make sure that you always manage your risk and never trade with money that you cannot afford to risk. We believe in putting the odds in your favor.  The best time to trade is when you identify a high probability setup.  This is a skill that any trader can learn.  We offer classes on how to do this on an ongoing basis at TopTradeTools.com.  Then, once a high probability trade setup has been identified, drilldown to a shorter timeframe and follow the Hedge Fund Trender Buy or Sell trading signals in the direction of the high probability trade setup.  We believe that this is one of the most powerful ways to trade the markets. Apple (AAPL) Short Trading Example
Step one is to spot the daily bearish divergence.  Then you could have taken sell signals from the Hedge Fund Trender on a shorter timeframe, like 60 minute charts.

One of the most powerful ways to trade any market is to find trade setups on a longer timeframe and then drilldown to a shorter timeframe to take your trading signals.  In the chart below you can see several excellent Hedge Fund Trender sell signals based off of the daily bearish divergence trade setup in the AAPL chart above. Remember, we only want to take trading signals in the direction of a trade setups for the following five to ten bars, or in the case above, days (based off of the daily AAPL chart).  Once we realize the potential of a trade setup, we stop taking Hedge Fund Trender signals. Take the time to learn the concept of setup shelf life.

S&P 500 Futures (ES) “Brexit” Trading Example
Everyone knew that there would be tremendous volatility in the stock market during the Brexit vote when the UK was voting on whether to leave the EU. Events like this are often excellent opportunities to make great money off of the high volatility environment.

In the S&P 500 example above, the Hedge Fund Trender made an impressive $4,462.50 per contract on a 60 minute price chart.  This assumes that all the trades were taken…even the losers!  Again, this showcases the potential power of the Hedge Fund Trender when trading in extreme volatility based on a global event.  Be sure to read the hypothetical disclosure statement at the bottom.

Gold Futures (GC) “Brexit” Trading Example
Again, everyone knew that there would be tremendous volatility in the stock market and in gold during the Brexit vote when the UK was voting on whether to leave the EU.  Events like this are often excellent opportunities to make great money off of the high volatility conditions.  We could have also considered trading Gold futures around the Brexit event.

If we include taking all of the trades beginning on June 23 through current price levels as of the writing of this text, one could have made $2,840 per contract, and that assumes taking both buy and sell trades.  Realistically, a trader would have only taken the buy signals once gold skyrocketed, which would have made even more profits.  Again, be sure to read the hypothetical disclosure statement at the bottom.
